WhatsApp now officially supports fingerprint lock on app. The much awaited feature just got released by WhatsApp. Update the app now and go to WhatsApp Settings > Account > Privacy. There you will find Fingerprint Lock.

While enabling fingerprint lock, the app also hides messages and other notification content even it is public but do not lock incoming WhatsApp call since this incoming call lock feature isn't available in Android. WhatsApp released a similar update to iOS earlier this year.
Since competition is increasing day by day and with the launch of RCS in Messaging this feature might make people stay with WhatsApp.
