Samsung recently launched the Galaxy F62 in India with prices starting from ₹23,999. The main USP of the device is the use of Exynos 9825 which is a flagship processor used in the Galaxy Note 10. So how this old gen processor became the USP of the device you may ask. Well, this Exynos 9825 is equivalent to the Snapdragon 855 which once available only in device priced more than ₹75000.
Rest of the device specifications include, 6/8 GB RAM, 128/256 GB storage with hybrid MicroSD card slot with support up to 1TB. If you do not want to use a MicroSD then you can put a secondary SIM with 4G VoLTE support. Unfortunately the Galaxy F62 does not support 5G network connectivity. But to be frank in India 5G is no where to be seen in near future. It definitely will take more than a year for the full country to receive 5G.
For Photo freaks, the rear has a quad camera setup with 64MP f/1.8 primary camera, 12MP Ultrawide with f/2.2 and 122 degree wide angle, 5MP depth camera and a 5MP macro lens. The addition of macro camera with 5MP sensor is definitely better than providing a 2 MP sensor for name sake. Everything looks good on paper. On the front, the 6.7" punch hole display is fitted with a 32MP selfie camera. Both the cameras support 4K, 30FPS video recording and the rear camera has 940fps super slo-mo capability.
The gorgeous 6.7" super AMOLED+ display is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which seems outdated. The display can produce 420nits peak brightness. The display has 393ppi and FHD+ resolution.
The value for money Galaxy F62 is powered by a massive 7000mAh battery with 25W fast charger in the box. It can also reverse charge via the provided USB Type-C cable. The fingerprint senor is mounted on the power button itself. The F62 runs on Android 11 with Samsung One UI 3.1
