Huawei has launched the Mate 8 with the company's Kirin SoC.The Matte 8 is a 6 inch phablet and is said to be the company's most advanced flagship phone.
Huawei Mate 8 runs on latest Kirin 950 SoC with Octacore CPU based on Big-Little configuration.A set of 4 Cortex A-72 cores runs at 2.3 Ghz and another set of power saving cortex A-53 cores runs at 1.8 Ghz.The CPU is coupled with Mali T880 MP4 GPU.The device sports a 6 inch Full HD (1080x 1920) IPS NEO LCD display with 368ppi which is comparatively less to the massive 6 inch display.The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on top.The device comes in two variants with 3GB and 4GB RAM versions.
On the camera front it has a 16 MP Sony's latest IMX298 rear sensor with dual tone flash, OIS, 1/2.8 inch sensor size.The rear camera is capable of shooting 1080p @30FPS and 720p @120FPS. The camera can't shoot at Ultra HD (4K) 2160p.It has 8 MP front facing camera which can shoot videos at 1080p.
The device comes with 32GB , 64GB, and 128GB storage.The 3GB RAM variant comes only with 32GB storage where as the 4GB RAM version comes with 64GB and 128GB storage facility.The storage can be expandable upto 128GB with a MicroSD card. The expansion of storage is limited to some users as it uses SIM slot 2 as MicroSD slot.
The device runs on Emotion UI 4.0 based on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The device is made from Aerospace Grade Aluminium with a Fingerprint sensor at the rear of the device.It also has 2.5D curved diamond cut glass.It measures 7.9 mm thickness and 185 grams.
Connectivity include Dual band Wifi, Bluetooth v4.2 with A2DP, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS and BDS support, Dual SIM with 4G LTE (supports Indian 4G band) ** SIM slot 2 is be used as MicroSD slot, NFC and Micro USB 2.0.
The device is powered by a big 4000 mAh Lithium Polymer battery.
Huawei Mate 8 release date and pricing will be revealed at CES 2016 in January.The device is rumored to be priced at 3,299 CNY (about US$519) for the 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB internal storage version, and the 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB internal storage version is rumored to cost 3,899 CNY (about US$613)

There's also an i5 coprocessor that "supports speech recognition, low-power consumption MP3, all the functions of a sensor hub, fused location provider (FLP) navigation, and reduces location-based power consumption," the company said in a press release.
