Xiaomi on 24th launch event showcased two devices the Redmi Note 3 and the Mi pad 2.Unlike the old Mi pad the Mi pad 2 runs a Intel's new 64 bit Quadcore Z5 Z8500 'Cherry Trail' Atom (2MB Cache, 4 Cores, 4 Threads) chip that runs preferably at higher clock speed of 2.25 GHz with 2GB LPDDR3 RAM.The CPU is clubbed with Intel HD Graphics GPU.This Chip was recently seen in Asus Transformer book but running at lower speed.
It has a 7.9 inch IPS display with resolution of 2048 X 1536 providing pixel density of 326ppi.Talking about the camera, it has a 8MP rear shooter with LED flash, f 2.0 aperture and a 5MP front shooter.The tablet is powered by a 6190 mAh battery which is good enough to hold the tab on for 648 Hours (Standby time).Connectivity include WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v 4.1, USB type C and GPS connectivity.It does not supports SIM card connectivity.The tablet measures 6.95 mm thickness and weighs 322 grams.It comes in two colours Dark Grey and Champagne Gold.
Operating system of the tablet can be selected based upon the user needs.It comes in two variants, tablet running MiUi v7 based on Android and Windows 10 version.The Android version comes in two variants 16GB and 64GB whereas the Windows version comes only in 64GB which would cost as same as the 64GB version running on Android.
The 16GB version is priced at $156 (₹10,300) and the 64GB is priced at $203 (₹13,500)
