A new bug has emerged in iOS 11 which crashes when an Indian language (Telugu) character is received via Messages, Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger, Gmail, and Outlook. The bug causes the app unusable and crashes whenever you try to open the app. The only way to overcome this crash is by sending another message from your friend to the same app and access by notification then delete the entire conversation that contains the Telugu character.
The bug was first reported by Italian blog Mobile World. The app which receives the text refuses to function causing the crash. Messages will no longer open as the app is trying and failing to load the character. Many Apple users already confirmed this "text bomb" bug. Apple is aware of the problem and stated already that they were working on the bug fix and it will be fixed before the release of iOS 11.3 update.
If you do receive the character via any message do not attempt to open it, try deleting it without opening.
