LeTv/LeEco Le1S model was launched at a price of ₹10,999. The device runs MediaTek Helio X10 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. In this post we will see how to root Le1S.
Pre-Requisites :
- Make sure your device have enough charge to carry out the process.
- Enable Developer options by tapping 4-6 times Version in Settings > About Phone.
- Open Developer Options present above About Phone in Settings and then enable USB Debugging.
- Backup your storage.
Downloads :
- SP Flash Tool - Download
- ADB - Download
- Additional - Download
- Drivers - Pda Net Download, USB Driver - Download, Windows 10 Drivers - Download
- Super SU - Download
Unlocking Bootloader :
- Connect your Le1S with USB cable.
- Extract ADB.rar and then open command prompt by holding the shift key and then right click.
- Type 'adb reboot bootloader'. Your device will reboot into bootloader.
- Then type 'fastboot oem unlock' and then press volume up in your device to confirm.
- You have successfully unlocked bootloader.
Installing TWRP recovery:
- Install and open SP Flastool.
- Extract Additional zip file aside.
- Click Downloading agent and select DA_PL.bin.
- Now select scatter loading from the extracted additional zip.
- Select only Recovery.img and uncheck User Data.
- Select Download option and then connect your device in switch off condition by pressing volume down button. (Ignore if it shows any error on clicking download button)
- Wait for the process to complete and then remove your device and turn it on.
Rooting Le1S:
- Copy the downloaded SuperSU zip file in your device internal storage.
- Enter recovery mode by holding Volume Up and Power button.
- Then select install from SD card and choose SuperSU.zip.
- Reboot system.
