Since the launch of first Android Beta, which was released 10 years ago, Google did not make any big changes to the base level of Android. With the launch of Android Oreo, Google introduced Project Treble. So if you ask what exactly is this project treble means, it modularizes the lower layer of Android by separating them from vendor implementations including the proprietary blobs, CPU & GPU drivers, OEM software features etc., from main Android Framework system which resulting in the speeding up of Android updates which usually depends on the OEM driver updates by chipset makers.
You may be asking what Project Treble has to do with Honor View 10 AOSP Android Oreo ROM. Well AOSP Android Oreo ROM for Huawei Honor View 10 is made possible only by Project Treble. The AOSP ROM for Honor View 10 is made by Team OpenKirin, a team of developers who works on ROMs for Kirin based devices only.
As it is an AOSP ROM it includes Google boot animation, Fingerprint sensor gestures and without a single bloatware. For those who like stock Android and those who don't like EMUI skin can flash this ROM to taste pure Android. In addition to these, this ROM comes with EMUI camera with the latest AR lens feature. As of now, everything works except for SafetyNet pass on Magisk and inaccurate signal bars.
Do remember that this ROM is based on Android Oreo 8.0, not Oreo8.1.
